After 30 years in faith-based leadership, the Rev. Mary Katherine Morn joined UUSC as President and Lead Executive Officer in 2018. She has helped to grow a number of Unitarian Universalist congregations serving their members and the larger community, including congregations in Georgia, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
Juneteenth Service
Join us on June 16th for our Juneteenth service, celebrating the liberation and resilience of Black people. The service will emphasize radical joy as a form of resistance and healing through readings, music and activities to foster unity and joy. The worship theme for June is “Renewal”.
Annual Pride Service
How do the current and past political atmospheres affect the LGBT+ community? The PRIDE Service brings personal stories and general reflections of its struggles and successes. Presented by guest speaker, Jody Davis, RN, VA Hospital, local LGBT+ leader and activist, and members of First UU’s Rainbow Connexion. The worship theme for June is “Renewal”.
