Join us on Saturday, June 22ndat All Soles Contra & Square Dance, as the famed Kathy Anderson, of Dayton, leads us in a variety of contras and squares. Kathy has called for decades in the US and across the pond. It is a delight to dance to her calling.

Music will be provided by Sean Fen and the Athens County Alleles (an iteration of Sandy Tar Brothers), consisting of Sean Fen on guitar, Joe Burdock on fiddle, and Hilarie Burhans, on banjo. Their tunes are sure to excite us.

“Freddie’s Message” with Jef Gamblee
The music of Queen with Freddie Mercury’s powerful voice grabbed our attention in 1975 with the release of their third album “A Night At the Opera.” We were reminded of the swath they cut with the recent biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I believe their music reminds us of who we are and what we are here to do.

Dr. Fadhel Kaboub, economics professor at Denison University, will present an overview of the Resolution and the Job Guarantee program. Cathy Cowan Becker, leader of Sierra Club’s Ready for 100 campaign in Columbus, will discuss movements in Central Ohio. Terry Hermsen, leader of a strategic effort to create a hub for local organizations addressing the climate crisis, will moderate. Q&A will take place after the presentations.
