| Reminder of our Winter Weather policies.
Whenever a Level 2 Weather Emergency has been declared by the City of Columbus, First Unitarian Universalist Church will be closed and all meetings or services cancelled.
Otherwise, during the normal winter weather conditions or storms, we encourage everyone to use their own judgement about the severity of conditions and whether they feel safe making the trip to church. If weather dictates the cancellation of events, meetings or other gatherings, we will send an email notice and/or post on the website as appropriate. Individual church groups or teams may decide on their own whether or not to hold a meeting, and if the church is otherwise open, you may wish to contact the event leader to see if plans have changed.
Remember that our Sunday Services are streamed live on Youtube if you’re uncertain about getting out (although we love seeing everyone here in person!)
Our snow removal service will do its best to clear parking areas and walkways if we receive over 2” of snow and ice, but please be careful and mindful of the slick surfaces or accumulation of snow or ice in-between applications of salt or shoveling during ongoing precipitation. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait to get service, so feel free to check in with us about conditions.
Stay warm and safe out there!
