Friday News – December 22, 2023

Happy Friday!

Here we are at the brink of Christmas – It’s hard to believe how time has flown by during my first five months with you. I’ve enjoyed getting to know many of you, and look forward to more!

Over the holidays all staff will be taking the week between Christmas and New Year’s off. The office will be closed, and staff will be available by appointment and/or for emergencies only. I’m so glad we’ll have that time of respite. I will also be working from home the first week of January as I’ll be recovering from wrist surgery that will take place on December 26 – it’s not the best way to spend a holiday, but I look forward to the healing process. You’ll be seeing me in a brace for the next three months. Rev. Kelli will be available while I am recovering if you have need of a minister.

I hope everyone can find some time of rest and renewal as we begin to face a new year together. Happy Holidays!

Rev. Terasa

Justice & Volunteer Opportunities
Tired of the Same Old New Year’s Resolutions?
Consider adding some 8th Principle Opportunities to your 2024 resolutions. The 8th Principle has us “journeying . . .  to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism. . . .” This worthy journey may be difficult at times, but it also can be entertaining, interesting, enlightening, and fun. We can all share a variety of activities and events with the congregation, including art, music, discussion, conversation, foods, festivals, reading, seminars, service opportunities, and field trips.

Check out the list of January Events from ARA. Join us or attend with a friend or create your own experience. At the end of each month, share what activity you did in the pursuit of the 8th principle.
