Getting Involved at First UU

Volunteer Opportunities!

To help you get involved this church year, we wanted to provide you with a list of opportunities to get involved and help support your community. See below for areas that we could use some additional support. If you have any questions, please let us know! We look forward to celebrating Water Communion with you all on September 11th.
Welcome Team Needs You!
Are you interested in helping provide a welcoming environment on Sunday mornings? Would you like to have an easy way to meet new people? Looking for a way to help support the church but only have a couple of hours? Then the Welcome Team is for you!

We are looking for ushers, door greeters, and visitor stand volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering or want more information, please email Rev. Kelli

Coffee and Breakfast
If you’re interested in helping prepare Sunday morning breakfast for Community Hour at 10:00 am, please email Cliff Adams for more information.

For helping serve Coffee during Coffee and Conversation at 12:15 on Sundays, please email Rose Rossiter.

Volunteer to Teach
We are always seeking Sunday school volunteers!   We are not be able to offer Coming of Age, Neighboring Faiths, or Spirit Play unless more folks commit to teaching and providing this important milestone experience for our young people. Fill out this form to volunteer, or email Amber Scott, our Director of Religious Exploration, to get involved!
Mentors Needed
If you are interested in serving as a Mentor for a Coming of Age student this year, please email Amber or Christine to find out more.
Sunday Morning Helpers
We are looking for volunteers to help us with two important tasks on Sunday mornings:

  1. Help children prepare for Bringing in the Light
  2. Help provide information to visitors and other RE families when they arrive at the Visitor’s table
Please email Amber or Christine for more information
