Connecting the Dots: Planet, People, Power

Our Connecting the Dots education and action event is back on Sunday, May 22 at 5pm Eastern Time. This month we are focusing our conversation on Solar Power and efforts to make it more accessible to people in Ohio.

Ohio State Representative, Mike Skindell (D-13), and Solar Power Advocate, Tom Smith will join us on Sunday. Two bills, HB450 & HB429 are now in committee in the Ohio General Assembly and are designed to pave the way for community-owned solar projects in Ohio. These would promote energy justice and strengthen our community connections. Our guests will talk about these bills, their potential effects, and how we can take action to support them.

Is Environmental Justice your passion?

Let us know what you want to talk about! Better still, join our planning team. We meet on Mondays at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. If you have ideas or want to pitch in, email us at uujoenvironmentaljustice@gmail.com and we will get you connected.

Support UUJO

UUJO relies on our donors to help us connect Ohio UUs with each other, connect with other social justice activists in Ohio, and to connect with people who have been marginalized and oppressed by elevating and amplifying their voices.
Would you take a moment to set up a recurring donation to help us?
Thank you for being a part of the journey and struggle for a more equitable world.
