Faith Forward Classes
Faith Forward: From Visitor to Leader is a guided path for Unitarian Universalists to follow in their congregations, helping navigate from building connections early on, to finding a sense of belonging as a member, to serving as a leader and boldly living their faith. Faith Forward was created by the First Unitarian Church of Dallas.
The CORE Path is the first part that we will be exploring here at First UU. The CORE Path courses help participants connect with others, get involved in the church, and explore our collective and individual faith and spirituality, all with the goal of understanding Unitarian Universalism, our congregation, and ourselves better. For the 2021-2022 Church Year, all Faith Forward courses will be offered at two different times: Monday mornings 10:00-11:30 am or Monday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 pm. All classes will have a virtual option so you can join the class at your comfort level.
The Advanced Path [coming fall 2022] builds upon the foundation created by the CORE Path sessions. Some of these courses will help us explore our individual religious identity, faith journey, and spiritual practices, while others will guide us into a greater understanding of our Unitarian Universalist faith and its place in the larger religious context. The goal of the Advanced Path is to help us grow in our faith, deepen our connections to one another and the congregation, and invites us to ask the question “how does this learning help me on my spiritual path?”

It is recommended that you take UU History 101, Roots, and Spiritual Practice before taking this course. Sessions include:
- It’s Not a Credo
- Writing Your UU Elevator Speech
- Sharing Your UU Elevator Speech
