Purpose
Ideally to abolish the death penalty in Ohio. Failing that, to call for a moratorium on executions while the issue is studied, and to educate the public and legislators about the unfairness, disparity of application, and inhumanness of execution.

Scope
Statewide meetings, speakers, conferences, newsletter, email list-serve, vigils, and peaceful demonstrations. In the absence of a local chapter of UU's Against the Death Penalty, we support this group. Executions violate the dignity of every person.

Funding Sources
Donors include individuals, churches, organizations, and the Catholic Diocese of Central Ohio.
