Unknown. While this is the first year the committee has supported Kaleidoscope, there is broad support in the congregation for this valuable community resource.
Purpose
Kaleidoscope Youth Center's mission is to serve gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth in Central Ohio by providing advocacy, education, support and a safe environment.
Scope
Serving Central Ohio, this center organizes social events, education, creative expression, and peer support.
Justification for First UU support
In addition to congruency with UU principles, the quality of life in the GLBT community is clearly reflected in the body of the congregation at First UU. This organization nurtures a healthy GLBT community.
