Community
and Support Groups
Many groups in our church offer our members opportunities to gather, to meet,
and to participate in official and informal activities that provide meaningful
services to the community, to the church, and to its members. A few of these
groups are described below:
Our
choir...
presents opportunity for spiritual growth. Sing and enjoy music from madrigals
to Mozart to spirituals with us. Instrumental music by talented members and
friends is an integral part of our worship services.
For a closer look at the choir and some of its activities, see our web
page: Meet the Choir

UU Covenant Groups..
Covenant Groups are one form of small group ministry. They are made up of eight
to ten people who meet regularly. With the help of a trained facilitator
and ministerial guidance, participants talk, learn, work and play together over
time. Although participants often report feeling better connected and happier
with their lives after taking part, these meetings are not therapy. They are
also not a religion course or a replacement for Sunday worship. What you
should expect from this small group experience is to:
-
Better appreciate your own spiritual journey,
- Feel more strongly connected to this church and its congregation,
- Participate in social justice work that is meaningful to you and to the
community.
For more information, visit the Covenant Group web page.

Caring Committee
The Caring Committee seeks to be aware of, and
respond to, the personal joys and sorrows of members and friends. We
inform the church of these joys and sorrows through caring cards, Sunday morning
announcements, and through the Discoverer. The committee also provides
educational workshops, a Neighborhood Network of volunteers for short-term
supportive care, orthopedic and medical supplies for short-term loan, and
coordination of memorial services for families of members and friends.
The Caring Committee invites you to browse our
